Date night with a baby....

Well I told you all I would post about that night (sat.) and it has kinda been a little bit busy around here. So I am a little late at getting it done.
Well Friday Rick had told me that on Sat. night he was going to take me out on a date. I mentioned to him that I didnt have any clothes to wear (that werent maternity) and so we went shopping and bought me a new pair of pants, shorts and 3 new tops!!! Woohoo!!! I was so excited! It is amazing what buying a new outfit will do for someones morale. :) So I finally had clothes to wear that didnt make me feel like I was still pregnant. Rick did some looking for a good place to go eat. I was so looking forward to finally having a date with my hubby!! (& Lindsay of course) And we got to where he had decided to take us and found out that it was one of those places that was only open until like 7 or so....
So we instead settled for Olive Garden (the closest thing to where we were) And found out there was a 30 min. wait. Which was fine I just spent the 30 min. feeding Lindsay (to assure that when we were seated she would remain Fast ASLEEP and FULL) So we were sat and as if on cue she started screaming!!! Inconsolably crying!

So here is how it went... Rick took her out first, so I ordered the food for us. Then he came back and she started screaming again, so I took her out while he ate his salad....
All the people outside and in the Lobby were commenting on how adorable she was... Then I came back in and he took her out while I ate my soup.. Then I took her out while he ate his half of the smoked cheese with bread appetizer. Then he took her out while I ate my half of the appetizer...
Then our meal arrived. He had the endless bowl of pasta and I had the Chicken Marsala...
I took her out so he could eat his pasta... Meanwhile EVERYONE around us and out in the lobby and outside are all giggling at us. ANd pointing to this little baby who is having the time of her life keeping her parents on hteir toes!!!
At this point I remember looking from outside in to where Rick was sitting all by himself eating his meal while I was outside wishing that I could be sitting next to him talking to him like I had pictured this night going. So I went back in and he took her out and I ate my meal... My appetizer and my meal I ate both cold...
By the time I finally got done eating my meal everyone around us was gone.
The highlight of my evening was when our waiter asked us if we would like dessert... I looked up at him and saw his smile... That was a good laugh.
So the moral of this story is dont have expectations of having any conversations with your husband when you are taking a newborn to a restraunt. Better yet dont have any expectations of even being able to sit at the table with your husband!!! :)
But it was a fun night anyways. We were able to laugh about it when we got in the car on the way home.
